A Bit About Coach Brockman

Hello, I am Coach Clare Brockman and I am passionate about developing athletes to reach their highest potential. Here is a little bit about my background....

I was raised in the San Francisco Bay Area in California. I attended Archbishop Mitty High School and won back to back State Championships in 2012 and 2013. I was recognized with First Team All-State and All-American my Junior and Senior year seasons.

I went on to play both indoor and beach volleyball at St. Mary's College of California. After one season, I transferred to Penn State University. Soon after joining the Nittany Lions, I was named Team Captain. During my time with Penn State volleyball, we won the Big 10 Conference Championship and made it to the NCAA Final Four Championship in 2017.

After graduating from Penn State, I joined the Texas Tech volleyball staff and started graduate school in Education and Sport Management. After a little over a year in Lubbock, I graduated with my masters and accepted the head coaching position at St. Pius X High School in Houston, TX. In my first season with the Panthers, I was able to transition the returning team into a winning season with a 18-17 record; the year prior, 2018, they had only won three matches.

Due to an overwhelming amount of requests, I have started running private sessions for young athletes. I find so much joy in teaching the game and it inspires me to share it with my community.
